Clinging to Hope

In today’s world where division, hate and violence fill the headlines, it is easy to give up hope for a better and brighter world. Do not dispair.

My hope lies in things I cannot see,

My hope lies in the God who watches over me.

I know that one day things will be right,

That man will bow before his righteous might.

I know the evil that lies deep in man’s heart,

Will one day loose it’s grip on humanity and depart.

I believe justice and integrity will find a way,

Goodness and love will shine bright one day.

God is merciful, just and right,

And he stands beside us in our fight.

Guard your heart against the devil’s crafty way,

Don’t listen to the things that he will say.

Righteousness from above is the shining light,

In God’s time and place, all will be made right.

I am a mom of 4 grown kids, grandma of 14 and great grandma of 5. I have opened and ran 2 successful businesses. volunteered with Hospice, tutored adult GED students in English and writing, spent time helping in a homeless shelter, worked to raise money for tornado victims, MDA and others and spent 25 years actively involved in the rescue of abandoned and abused dogs. I was care giver to my husband of 35 years as he lost his fight with cancer. Through all of the ups and downs of life, 2 things have kept me moving forward. PERSEVERANCE- the ability to get up each new day and try again and FAITH - that sure knowledge that God was with me in every trial and struggle. I hope you will join me as I share the insights I have learned and continue to grow in this wonderful adventure of life.
