Life’s journey can be a harsh, painful ride. Friends and loved ones abandon and disappoint us, the news is a constant emotional drain and stress can rob us of our peace and health. Isn’t it nice to know that we do not walk alone?
YOU HOLD MY HAND
I have shed a million tears,
Fought off all the devil’s fears.
I’ve been disappointed and let down,
Came close to a total breakdown.
I’ve known loss and I’ve known pain,
Been battered by life’s pouring rain.
But through it all, you’ve held my hand,
You held me up when I couldn’t stand.
You wrapped your arms around me tight,
And held me through the lonely night.
Without you God by my side,
My heart and soul would surely have died,
I can face what tomorrow brings,
Assured that your hand is over all things.

I am a mom of 4 grown kids, grandma of 14 and great grandma of 5. I have opened and ran 2 successful businesses. volunteered with Hospice, tutored adult GED students in English and writing, spent time helping in a homeless shelter, worked to raise money for tornado victims, MDA and others and spent 25 years actively involved in the rescue of abandoned and abused dogs. I was care giver to my husband of 35 years as he lost his fight with cancer. Through all of the ups and downs of life, 2 things have kept me moving forward. PERSEVERANCE- the ability to get up each new day and try again and FAITH - that sure knowledge that God was with me in every trial and struggle. I hope you will join me as I share the insights I have learned and continue to grow in this wonderful adventure of life.
